3./ Software & Operating System Update. If you have previously purchased a SatNav system pre-June 2010 from ASL (Part numbers BA5192, BA5191, FG 5191, FG 5192 or VE519) then you can upgrade to the latest generation system, Gen3. To purchase this update, click this link to go to the Store.

4./ Software Update for Gen3. This software update is for the Gen3 system only.
a)Software fixes the issue of the `Time Zone’ not saving when selected. Currently when a `Time Zone’ is set it always reverts back to (GMT-08:00) Pacific Time (US & Canada). Due to Daylight savings when the time is set Automatically it may intermittently set the time 1 hour behind.
b)Software includes alerts for Overspeed Alert, Red Light Cameras, Fixed Speed Cameras, School Zones, Railway Crossings, Bus Zones, High Accident Intersection Alert and Fixed Speed Readers. Software Update Gen03V3 (ZIP, 7.23MG)

Frequently Answered Questions: FAQs

Why does my map have no voice when Navigating? You may have your Regional Voice Profile Set to a TTS voice profile – This Navigation does not support Text to Speech. We recommend always using the Australian (AU) male and female voice profiles.

Why does my Navigation show Fixed Speed camera’s where none are present? The fixed speed camera uses the same alert for all fixed speed camera / red light cameras/ Railway Crossings / school zones.

When I align the screen using the 'Screen Calibration' function, the settings doesn't save when I switch the system off. This problem has been identified and the calibration of the screen can be performed as per the below procedure.SatNav Gen3 Screen Calibration (PDF, 50K)

I cannot find a street after I have entered the Suburb/Town. Sometimes streets can be located in the Suburb/Town next to Suburb/Town you have entered. In this circumstance under `Enter Suburb/Town’ please enter the State you are in (example: Queensland) and under the `Street Name’ please enter the street you are looking for. A list of Streets and Towns will the show for you to choose from.

Map Problem. If you have any mapping errors please go to directly to the Navteq website and click on the Map Reporter at the top. The reporting system is based on an interactive amp where you can pinpoint the location and enter the details of the problem.
