ASL's new SatNav Gen3 system (released July 2010) has a new Operating System & Map with added Features and Functions, it can be integrated with the Factory colour screen. giving you full function operation and directions at your fingertips while still retaining the OE look and feel of the vehicle.

If your Ford vehicle does not have colour screen, we can upgrade it to a Colour TFT screen. We have developed integrated SatNav solutions for the entire FG, Territory & BA/BF range of vehicles. There are is also an integrated SatNaV system that suits the VE range including HSV vehicles.

If you do not want to upgrade to a colour screen or cannot upgrade, ASL has a Replacement Rear Vision Mirror that can display all the information, including map, directions, setting etc..

Integrated navigation deters thieves breaking into vehicles where as portable navigation is highly visible. The SatNav module is not visible as its hidden away, and will save hundreds of dollars in repair cost as the popularity of portable SatNav units increases. Once you have set the Destination, the system then allows you to view your destination. ASL Navigator has a simulation mode, the 3D view shows bridges either as an overpass or underpass (in the case above the road is an underpass).

 

The System has a number of settings that can be changed, including Lane Information that can be switched on or off. You can view your route on one screen and choose either the "Fast", "Short", "Economical" or "Easy".

 

The simulation mode shows other roads including water and railway lines. Points of Interests (POIs) can easily found via the menu, once you have chosen the POI it can be set as the destination.

 

An Itinerary list is detailed in the menu screen, allowing you to check which route is planned, you can change this route. In night mode, bridges are also shown together with road numbers.

 

The 3D view shows buildings and in night mode (as above) the route is show through the buildings. The key pad is clear and easy to use.

 

The keyboard allows you to key in the house number. Night mode in 3D also shows Rivers and Tunnels.

 

When you have selected your Destination, it shows the complete address and with a map of the Destination on the same screen, you are also able to "Place a Pin" which allows you save the location. The Route information screen includes the travel time & the distance.

A Full function Remote Control is included with clear and easy to read buttons which makes the system a joy to use, helping you get to your destination stress free. The system includes and Quick Reference Guide and a complete User Manual.
